Welcome: Seattle, WA
When in Seattle, start at the Space Needle. Hands down the most iconic landmark that can be seen while creating an epic Seattle day trip, the Space Needle. It stands as an engineering marvel that soars 605 feet tall and yields stunning panoramic views of the skyline, the Sound, and — on clear days — Mount Rainier in the distance. Built for the World's Fair of 1962, it's one of the most photographed structures in the world and a national treasure.

From there, wander the beautiful city and enjoy one of the best free things to do in Seattle, visiting the legendary Pike Place Market — a bustling hub of shops and stalls, tucked-away restaurants and cozy bars. The original Starbucks is located here in this busy marketplace, but if you don't feel like waiting in the ever-present line for a cup of Pike Place Roast, you'll find plenty of other locally owned shops around the market to choose from

There is so much to do on the beautiful Star Princess.
For those who are young at heart there is a Multi-Sport court where you can play pickleball or basketball, a jogging track and an Observation deck with telescopes offering the most breathtaking views at sea. For those not quite so adventurous, there's the Lotus Spa, an Adults-only Dome complex, Duty-free designer shopping, Broadway-style shows and much more.
Treat yourself to the Lotus Spa, where you can relax after a soothing massage. Sometimes it's fun to sit in The Cove and people watch as you're enjoying a delicious cup of ice cream. Or enjoy a piece of pizza at Alfredo's Pizzeria as you visit with friends. And if you're in the mood for something special, consider a meal in one of the specialty dining restaurants, like the Crowne Grill.

SEP 22 (Tuesday)
6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Welcome: Ketchikan, AK
Ketchikan is known as Alaska's "First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they journey north. Located on an island, Ketchikan began life as an Indian fishing camp. The name Ketchikan comes from a Tlingit phrase that means "eagle with spread-out wings," a reference to a waterfall near town. In the early 1900s, when gold was Alaska's claim to fame, fishing and timber industries were established in Ketchikan. The growth of these industries helped make this Inside Passage port Alaska's fourth-largest city.
Visitors to Ketchikan will be intrigued by its rich Native heritage, which includes the world's oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Center. The Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian are all a part of the city's colorful history. Ketchikan, with its abundance of salmon, is also a sport-fishing paradise. Sightseers will be impressed with both the scenic town and its surroundings, especially Misty Fjords National Monument.
